1st April Means April Fools Day

Today is the 1st of April and many people will know this day as April Fools Day.
But what is April Fools Day?
Its not a holiday but is known throughout the world. Many people play practical jokes and hoaxes on other people, usually friends, family or even enemies. The idea of playing tricks on people is to embarass the guilible people and make them look foolish.
Many countries believe that the jokes should only be played until noon of the 1st April and any jokes played after that means that the joker is the fool. Some countries such as France play jokes throughout the whole day.
Some Well Known April Fools Jokes
Metric Time - Repeated several times in various countries, this hoax involves claiming that the time system will be changed to one in which units of time are based on powers of 10.
Smell-O-Vision - In 1965, the BBC purported to conduct a trial of a new technology allowing the transmission of odor over the airwaves to all viewers. Many viewers reportedly contacted the BBC to report the trial’s success. This hoax was also conducted by the Seven Network in Australia in 2005. In 2007, the BBC website repeated an online version of the hoax.
So far today i’ve not had any jokes played on me so i’m doing well so far, however I haven’t played any on anyone and there’s only 4 minutes until mid-day!!!
