An advantage to Drought
27 September 2007, by Heavens Paradox

The Amazon rainforest is probably the only place in the world where drought improved the condition of the flora! Generally a drought will turn the vegetation brown, but in the Amazon it made it greener.
A UA study has shown that the trees in the rainforest were able to get enough water from the deep root systems, and so benefitted from the clearer skies - this stimulated the photosynthesis, creating an even greener rainforest! This is good news as it means climate change won’t have an adverse affect on the rainforest immediately, so we’ll still have our natural air purifiers operating for the near future. Further study is continuing to ensure the rainforest’s continued survival.
