Yet another postal strike

There is yet another postal strike scheduled to start early today as the talks over the weekend have failed to reach any conclusions. It seems a useless action to me though, as the strikes are costing Royal Mail millions - which is leaving them even less likely to be able to afford the pay rises & pension plans the union is demanding

More bad news for British farmers

If foot & mouth wasn’t bad enough, there are now fears of an outbreak of bluetongue disease in Suffolk. Bluetongue has spread from Africa into Europe over recent years, but this is the first reported case in the UK.
