Martha is back

I’ve always been a fan of science fiction, and I’ve been loving Torchwood over the last few weeks. There’s an extra twist now though as Martha joins the team, continuing her character from Doctor Who.

The Torchwood team operate outside of the government and the police, working to ensure the rift in space & time that lies under Cardiff doesn’t cause problems for Earth. There are many aliens and even humans from other times that end up coming through the rift, which keeps the team busy. I like the way they’ve kept the links with Doctor Who though, providing a bit of continuity and allowing a cross-over of characters. Captain Jack was always a favourite of mine, and it’s been good to see Martha back too.
