FA Cup Shocks!

Last night I was in total amazement at what had just unfolded beneath my eyes. Earlier in the day Manchester United had just been knocked out of the FA Cup by Portsmouth. It might not be the biggest cup upset in history, but it meant that only 1 team out of the top four (Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea) were still left in the FA Cup.

That team was Chelsea who were playing Barnsley.

Now, you can imagine the buzz that people will get from knowing that none of the top four would be left in the Semi Finals of the FA Cup, but no one really expected Barnsley to win.

However, Barnsley threw everything at Chelsea from the start and nearly scored in the first half. However, at half time the score was 0-0 and many people at the pub I watched the game at thought that Chelsea would come out in the second half and cruise it. How wrong we were. Barnsley came out and played exactly as they had done in the first half, yet got a goal to show for their efforts, through a striker who only two years earlier had being terroising my teams defence. Odejayi headed home a brilliant cross and wild scenes started at Oakwell.

They held out and their was, as usual the much debated pitch invasion by Barnsley fans.

Now the FA Cup is wide open and with only one Premier League side guaranteed a place in the next round and only Middlesbrough left to play from the Premier League there is a chance for a lower league club to get to the Final and possibly win it.

Now that is what FA Cup games are all about. Barnsley beating Liverpool the round before, draw Chelsea in the next round and beat them. Manchester United getting knocked out in the same day as Chelsea,…i’m exstatic…great day for football!

Astragalus has been used by the Chinese people for hundreds and thousands of years. Astragalus is called ‘yellow leader’ in China. Astragalus comes from the root of the plant.
It contains a mixture of different ingredients including Amino Acid and Saponins. It is a traditional medicine in China and can cure illnesses such as diabetes, night sweats and heart disease, along as many other illnesses.
Astragalus has been uder contant study in the US by scientists and it has been found that it could help the immune system and help cancer patients. Astragalus has been described as a herb that could be very exciting and helpful, once the full research of it has been carried out.

Drug Addiction Treatment

Sorry to keep dragging on about drugs and drug addiction but i’ve seen and heard a lot about them in the past few days.
A few old mates from when I was at school started using drugs about 2 years ago, just after we left school and ever since then have become addicted to them.
I don’t exactly know the ins and outs of their problem, all I know is they were doing drugs and have now been admitted to a drug rehab clinic. These drug rehabs are supposed to get drug addicts off drugs and back on to the straight and narrow. A lot of people get off drugs by going to these drug rehabs but some seem to have got off drugs but a few months later are back dealing drugs and taking them.
Drugs are a major problem in todays society and this problem needs sorting fast. For now though these drug rehab centers are a great inniative.

This is the point where I point out to anyone who doesn’t approve or like this sort of stuff to turn away, however, i’d say its more funny than rude or insulting. Any DJ’ers in the house? If so i’ve found a great site that lets you make your own Personalized Slipmats.

The site offers you the chance to personalize your own slipmat and include any text or phrase you want on it - so that it is personal to you and makes you stand out from the other DJ’ers.

Las Vegas

One of the places a lot of people would like to visit is Las Vegas. Why? Because of its vibrant nightlife, its great food and of course everyone loves a Vegas wedding.
Theres so much to see and do in Las Vegas. You can enjoy a great night out in the bucket load of restaurants, bars and nightclubs. During the day there is plenty to do. For the women there is the chance to go shopping to some of the best shops in the world. For the men, they can go golfing on one of the number of golf courses available. At night there is the chance to go to the many casinos, dine in the hundreds of restaurants and drink in the masses of bars and nightclubs. There is also the famous attraction, a Las Vegas wedding.
Now while you are in Las Vegas you are going to need a place to stay. There are a number of Las Vegas Hotels to choose from. Obviously you don’t want to go for a cheap hotel, but don’t want to go for a hotel that would mean you can’t afford to sample all the other attractions. Las Vegas Hotels vary in price and you can find some amazing hotels for a cheap price. So when choosing a Las Vegas hotel don’t go for the cheap option but don’t spend all your money on a hotel, and save some for the other attractions in Las Vegas.

Snow

With the season of winter coming to an end here in England we have had hardly any snow at all. We have had a few snow flurries but nothing compared to what we used to get and what other countries get.

I like the snow, mainly because it sometimes means work gets closed or every thing gets put on hold because of the snow. This year and last year as well for a matter of fact we have had very little snow, lots of rain and strong winds.

Is this a sign of things to come in the future, global warming, climate change. Are winters getting hotter and summers getting colder? Or is it just the UK weather?

Last Night!

As I was telling you yesterday about the big football match. Well the morning after the night before and i’m writing this blog entry with a huge smile on my face, a rather banging headache and a hangover to die for. But I don’t care, i’m going to Wembley to watch the team I love play their. We beat Morecambe over a two legged match, 1-0 on aggregate. It was an amazing night, tense to the final whistle and all worth the long wait.
We didn’t play well but didn’t need to really. We just needed to make sure we didn’t concede and we would be their.
The final at Wembley is on 30th march, tickets are out tomorrow and I suppose me and 3000 other hardcore fans will have to wiat in a huge queue full of glory hunters who will state they have never missed a game all season. Should be fun, but again will be well worth it.
We plan to go down on the supporters coach and have a few pints before the match,as per usual on away matches, then enjoy the atmospehere that should be created outside Wembley on Wembley Way. Then onto the real stuff, the match.
I’m so excited I can’t help but smile, think my mouth might be stuck like this. From playing at Wembley we could recieve around £400,000 in cash money, which for a small, in debt club like Grimsby will probably pay off the debt and keep us in business for a few more years.
Oh yea, forgot to mention that we’ll be playing one of the most hated clubs in England at Wembley, MK Dons (MK Dongs, MK Franchise, MK Donalds etc). The Big Football Match Tonight

No, not Arsenal v AC Milan or whoever is playing in the Champions League. I’m talking about proper football…Grimsby Town v Morecambe in the Johnstones Paint Trophy Area Final.

What it means if my team, Grimsby Town win is that they will go onto play MK Dons in the JPT Final at the national stadium, Wembley. I’ve been there twice already to support Grimsby, but not the new one. We won there twice ten years ago by the way.

I travel home and away to support the Mariners (Grimsby Town) and spend thousands of pounds each year to do so. Why? Because I love them, the passion from our fans and the pride I get when signing, watching us play and watching us win.

We beat Morecambe at their ground last week 1-0, so the second leg is being played tonight at our ground. All we need to do is draw 0-0, but me nor the other fans want us to do that, we want to win in style.

There should be 8000 fans there, we usually only get 4000 at home games so the atmosphere is going to be rocking. I’ve been excited about this since last Wednesday morning, and woke up this morning with butterflies in my stomach, thats how excited I am. Now I am sat here waiting for the hours to go by and for the clock to reach 5.30 GMT when I leave the house, catch the bus and take a quick 2

Precor Elliptical

After searching around for some quality exercise equipment, I ran across a website that sells exercise equipment by the load. The website is eonfitness.com and it has a wide range of cardio equipment ranging from treadmills to stair-steppers. I was looking for a specific peice of exercise equipment, a Precor elliptical.
EONFitness.com had a wide range of the precor ellipticals, and the cost for one on the website is very reasonable indeed at around $3000 been the average price for one.
I felt comfortable on their website. It was all laid out well and each product on the site had a very detailed description that told the potential buyer more about the product and some of its features. I find this very important when I am buying something online.
