Teddy row finally over

Finally the teacher jailed in Sudan over a teddy bear has been released and is on her way back home.

Gillian Gibbons, a British teacher teaching in Sudan, was jailed after her class named a teddy bear Muhammed. This was seen as disrespectful to Islam. Personally I think it has been a huge over-reaction, if the name for the teddy bear was seen as a problem they should have been asked to rename it. Not throw the teacher in jail and even threaten to execute her! Thankfully, with the support from a number of British Muslims the issue has been resolved and she has now been freed.
