The Bionic Woman returns

After a successful premiere in the US, I’m looking forward to the new series of the Bionic Woman hitting the UK next year. Although this version of the Bionic Woman, starring Michelle Ryan, uses the same character names as the original 1970s show apparantly the similarities end there.

I’m too young to remember the original series from 1976 starring Lindsay Wagner but I’m a huge fan of science fiction & fantasy generally. The basic idea of the Bionic Woman is relatively simple - a young woman suffers a terrible accident & has her entire body rebuilt with bionic parts, leaving her with a huge debt which she then has to repay. I can see a lot of potential with this series, it will be interesting to see where the writer Laeta Kalogridis takes it.
