Will ‘Wheel of Time’ ever finish?

The news that James Rigney had died recently was a shock to me! Better known to most of us as Robert Jordan, author of the ‘Wheel of Time’ series of fantasy books. Despite battling with Cardiac amyloidosis since March 2006 it proved too much for him in the end.

Many of us, myself included, have read & enjoyed the ‘Wheel of Time’ series and were eagerly anticipating the next installment. Currently on book 11, the news of Robert Jordan’s death is a heavy blow, as we have been following the story lines & characters for 17 years now!

A Memory of Light, the 12th book, was due in 2009 and was expected to be the conclusion of the story. All hope is not gone though, as apparently Robert Jordan has left behind many notes & dictated his plans for the final story lines - so the book may still be finished.
